The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for the contractual position of Heroin Coordinator within the Cumberland Police Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree with three or more years of experience in coordinating criminal investigations, collecting and disseminating intelligence information along with conducting forensic evidence analysis. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. The applicant must be of good moral character and able to pass an extensive background investigation and drug testing. Some travel and training is required.
CLASS SUMMARY: Under supervision, performs a variety of administrative, analytical and investigative activities in accordance with the Maryland Heroin and Opioid Emergency Task Force Report to address this current drug crisis. The successful candidate will interact with local law enforcement agencies along with other Heroin Coordinators throughout the State. This is a full-time contractual position (40 hours per week) with limited benefits.
