The City of Cumberland is making City-owned real estate available for purchase through a Bid Sale Process. The application process for this program evaluates the vision and plan for a property in combination with an offer price. The goal of the program is to return properties to the private sector for their highest and best use.

Submission/Review of Bids
Completed bid packets may be mailed to the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD 21502. Proposals will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Proposals will be opened and read bi-weekly, or on an as-needed schedule determined by the Mayor and City Council. The review committee will make a recommendatoin for award to the Mayor and City Council based on the merits of the intended use of the property, highest bid amount and responsibility of the bidder.
