Bicycle Advisory Commission
 
 
The Bicycle Advisory Commission was established by Ordinance No. 3633, effective February 17, 2009.
 
The general purpose of the Commission shall be to administer and manage, on behalf of and under the guidance of the Mayor and City Council, the long-term implementation of the 2008 Cumberland Trails and Bikeways Master Plan and to coordinate with all affected local groups, committees and citizens with an interest in bicycling and bicycle advocacy.
 
The Commission shall consist of seven (7) members who shall be appointed by the Mayor and City Council and shall serve without compensation for three-year terms. The membership of the Commission shall represent diverse community interests and shall be comprised of the following:

Canal Place Pres. Auth. (CPPDA) Board of Directors One (1) representative
Western Maryland Wheelmen   One (1) representative
Mountain MD Trail (AHT) Board of Directors  One (1) representative
Citizens-at-large   Two (2) representatives
