Honor Guard

The Honor Guard was created to represent the department at police funerals, parades, ceremonial occasions, and other civic events. Tragically, a police officer falls in the line of duty approximately every 53 hours in the United States.

The Cumberland Police Department Honor Guard was created to respectfully pay tribute to these fallen Heroes by attending their services throughout the State of Maryland, and surrounding states.

Sgt. Chris McCann is the Supervisor of the Honor Guard.
