Charter Amendment Resolutions
Charter Amendment Resolution (First Reading April 22, 2014)
This Charter Amendment (PDF) proposed to refine the role served by the Administrative Appeals Board with respect to measures formerly handled by the Civil Service Commission, to revise related provisions to reflect current practices and to remove antiquated and unnecessary provisions from the Charter. The 2nd and 3rd readings were scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

Charter Amendment Resolution (First Reading March 11, 2014)
This Charter Amendment (PDF) proposed to repeal and reenact with amendments Section 23 of the Charter of the City to change the frequency of regular meetings from biweekly to semi-monthly, said meetings to take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. The 2nd and 3rd readings were scheduled for March 25, 2014.

Charter Amendment Resolution No. 142 passed on March 25, 2014 by a vote of 5-1. Upon passage of the 50-day referendum period, with no petition being submitted, the Charter Amendment became effective on May 14, 2014.
Resolution No. R2014-06: Granting the Cumberland Outdoor Club a property tax credit for the tax year 2014-2015.
Resolution No. R2014-07: Approving the modification of the local standards of the Gateway Enterprise Zone.
Resolution No. R2014-08: Authorizing the City's participation in the Maryland Government Health Cooperative offered by Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT).
Resolution No. R2014-09: Authorizing certain businesses located within the Gateway Enterprise Zone to receive tax credits for the tax year 2015-2016.
Resolution No. R2014-10: Granting the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Development Corporation, Inc. a property tax credit for the tax year 2014-2015.
