On Monday, July 4th, the City of Cumberland, in cooperation with local community partners, will celebrate the Fourth of July with a pyrotechnics display discharged from Constitution Park. The Mayor and City Council invite all to gather with their family, friends and loved ones under the stars that night to enjoy a grand display provided once again by Starfire Corporation of Carrolltown, PA.
The City cautions that viewing space inside Constitution Park will be limited due to safety requirements. Revelers enjoying the show are therefore encouraged to access other familiar viewing sites, such as the Canal Place area or Washington Street in the area of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Travelers to Consitution Park should use Williams Street and Parkview Avenue and be aware that the Pine Avenue access point will be closed at 8:30 p.m. and thru-traffic to the Park will be closed off beginning at 4:00 p.m. Constitution Park Pool will be open on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional information regarding operational changes at the Park that day may be viewed at the City’s website: www.cumberlandmd.gov.
The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland would like to thank the local businesses that contributed to this event and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July.
