[ARCHIVED] Public Notice: City of Cumberland Phone Lines Currently Unavailable

Telephone connections to the City of Cumberland offices are currently unavailable due to a broken fiber line belonging to LUMOS Networks, the telephone carrier for the City.  As of this morning, the carrier has located the break and will begin repair work as soon as possible to restore service.

This interruption of service does NOT affect the emergency 911 service in this area.   Citizens should call 911 in the event of an emergency and may also call 301-777-1600 for non-emergency police issues.  Citizens may also access the City’s website at www.ci.cumberlandmd.gov to view their utility accounts and make on-line payments.

The City is monitoring the repair work and will issue a release when phone lines are able to be accessed once again.
