The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland are seeking letters of interest from local residents to fill 2 vacancies on the Downtown Development Commission (DDC). One vacancy must be filled by a property or business owner in the Secondary District of the Downtown Business District and the second vacancy must be filled by a resident of the city. DDC members serve three-year terms and meet the second Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.
Individuals interested in serving on this commission are asked to submit letters stating their qualifications and interest in the appointment by December 11, 2015, to the Mayor and City Council, Attn: City Clerk, 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD 21502, or through email to the City Clerk at margie.woodring@cumberlandmd.gov.
The letters will be reviewed by the Mayor and City Council, who will make the final determination for appointments based upon the information provided and qualifications for each seat.
